Its designer, Yusaku KAMEKURA, recalled later: "The photographer for the skiing poster was Kiyoshi FUJIKAWA, a veteran skiing photographer. After much thought we used Masahiko OTSUE for a model because he has long legs and his skiing technique shows up so well. Skiing photographs are difficult; not only the right angle, but also the right technique is all-important. Hence the photographer must be a good judge of both photography and skiing."
