Atlanta 1996, winners’ medals moulds. The obverse of the medal shows the goddess of Victory with the Colisseum in the background. All the Summer Games medals between 1928 and 2000 used this design, created by the Florentine artist Giuseppe Cassioli (1865-1942). The corresponding sports pictogram is engraved on the reverse.
