Athens 1986, medal of the 90th anniversary of the Olympic Games.
Physical description
Obverse: seated Allegory of the Greece with a laurel wreath and a sceptre. Next to the Allegory, Phoenix rising from the ashes. On the upper part, Acropolis, on the lower part, Panathenaic Stadium. Caption (greek): "Olympic Games / 776 V. CHR ; Athens". Reverse: Panathenaic Stadium at the top dominated by the Acropolis of Athens with the emblem of the Greek NOC. Two olive branches above a stadium with the caption (Greek): "Olympic Committee". Great caption (Greek) surrounding the whole: "90 YEARS SINCE THE REVIVAL OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES - 1896-1986". Presence of two hallmarks on the dates: 1) a capital delta, 2) "999" for the silver index.
