Downhill ski helmet, shoes and bib belonging to Madeleine BERTHOD (SUI), Olympic champion, Cortina d’Ampezzo 1956 Madeleine BERTHOD’s shoes were designed by the shoemaker Karl Molitor, also a silver and bronze medallist at the 1948 Games in St Moritz. Molitor later developed the buckling system in the 1960s.
