Sapporo 1972, winner's medal, gold, awarded to Eduard 'Edy' HUBACHER (SUI) for four-man bobsleigh.

Physical description

Medal with belly strap. Obverse: Stylised representation of a track and an ice rink. Reverse: emblem of the Games over the English caption: "XI / OLYMPIC / WINTER / GAMES", the same caption in Japanese is above the emblem. The belly strap consists of a plate with the bobsleigh pictogram on the obverse and the caption: "BOBSLEIGH" on the reverse. Name of the manufacturer, the Japan Mint: "ZOHEIKYOKU" on the reverse side of the plate.
