Replica (?) of the Olympic flag carried into the Opening Ceremony carried during the opening ceremony by Lech Walesa, Kazuyoshi Funaki, Jean-Claude Killy, Jean-Michel Cousteau, John Glenn, Desmond M. Tutu, Cathy Freeman and Steven Spielberg. Wooden box with framed picture of the original flag and caption on the aluminium plaque: "What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us / are but tiny matters compared to what lives within us. / Henry David Thoreau / {list of the persons on the photo} / The Salt Lake 2002 Games celebrated the power of the Olympics to inspire.
