Cobi the dog, drawn by Javier Mariscal in the style of the Catalan cubist artists, became the mascot of the 1992 Games in Barcelona. Greatly criticised during his first appearances, he was nevertheless appreciated as a signage element. He could be found dressed as an athlete at the entrance to stadiums, or dressed as a tourist, inviting guests to visit the city.
