Created for the 1952 Games in Helsinki, the advertising ornament from Swiss watch-making brand Omega was a reminder that Omega had been a timing collaborator during the Olympic Games since 1932. Dr Brandt, a representative of the company, received the Olympic Cross of Merit on Omega’s behalf.
