Notes

The Hungarian caricaturist Antal Diósy set up his studio in Amsterdam, where he notably worked for “De Telegraaf”. At the 1924 Paris Games, he was the correspondent for the newspaper “La Presse” and sketched hundreds of athletes and officials. Johnny Weissmuller, Gertrude Ederle and Harold Abrahams were some of the people who signed his drawings for him.
