This Mycenaean warrior’s armour formed part of a chronological array of stylised figures from prehistoric times to the 20th century. It was presented as a parade that leapt out of Greek frescoes, mosaics, sculptures and paintings, with this costume symbolising the Copper Age. The costumes used unexpected materials like paper, gauze and plastic, and were painted by hand to accurately reflect the originals.
