Physical description

Medal with belly strap and ribbon. Obverse: Stylised representation of a track and an ice rink. Reverse: Emblem of the Games over the English caption: "XI / OLYMPIC / WINTER / GAMES", the same caption in Japanese is above the emblem. The belly consists of a plate with the sports pictogram on the obverse and the name of the sport in English as a caption on the reverse. The name of the manufacturer, the currency of Japan: "ZOHEIKYOKU" on the reverse side of the plate. Blue ribbon, symbol of winter, bordered on its left side with the Olympic colours (except white).
