Physical description

Medal with belly ring and blue ribbon edged in yellow with the emblem of the Games. Obverse: rising sun on the lacquered part with the caption: "THE XVIII OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES", under the lacquered part is a medallion with the emblem of the Games and two olive branches surrounding it. Reverse: lacquered part with mountains illuminated by the rising sun with the emblem of the Games above and the pictogram of the sport below. Caption below the lacquered part: "THE XVIII OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES, NAGANO 1998".
