It was "from the combination of the five rings and the Olympic year [that] Lance Wymann and Eduardo Terrazas created the Mexico City 1968 logotype and developed it to create the famous official poster of the Games, which reminds us of the motifs of the Huichole Indians […] This emblem also served as a starting point for the Olympic alphabet, one of the main elements of the Olympic Identity Programme".
