Physical description
Obverse: various summer and winter sports equipment, among which are laurel branches symbolizing victory and a lyre symbolizing the cultural program of the Games, caption: "VIIIEME / OLYMPIAD / PARIS / 1924". Initials of the artist lower right: AR. Reverse: A naked athlete crowned with laurel helps his competitor seated on the ground to help him up. Below is the Olympic symbol. Signature of the artist: A. RIVAUD lower left. Edge: hallmark of the Paris Mint (cornucopia) with the wording "2ARGENT".
