Innsbruck 1964, winner's medal awarded to Klaus BONSACK (GER), single luge silver medallist.
Physical description
Medal with a belly and ribbon in the national colours. Obverse: Alpine massif and caption: "INNSBRUCK 1964" above and "RENNRODELN" at the base of the design. Artist's name "M. COUFAL" on the right. Reverse: Emblem of the Games and caption: " - IX- ; OLYMPISCHE WINTERSPIELE ". Edge: Hallmark (the letter "A" inserted in a circle) which is that of the manufacturer with "925" being the title in thousandths of the medal.
