YO, Kanji. Round cast bronze plate, in relief, with the representation of the Japanese God of Sports for the 9th Far Eastern Games in Tokyo in 1930.
Round cast bronze plate, in relief, with the representation of the nude of an athlete doing several sports. He is represented in movement, during the effort, with one pair of legs but three pairs of arms symbolizing jump, javelin throw, discus throw and archery. The hair is floating and the mouth wide open. The plate also includes the monogram of the Far Eastern Athletic Association: AEA and the signature of the artist forms by two japanese ideograms. Brown wood frame with a gilded edge on the inside, dark blue background. On the back an ink text: "The Japanese God of Sport; design by Kanjo Yo for the ninth Far Eastern Games 1930 given to J.Sigfried Edström by mr S.Kishi member CIO (see letter inside)." IOC stamp.
