Lausanne 1944, diploma of the 50th anniversary of the re-establishment's of the Games' awarded to the Internation Olympic Committee.

Physical description

Diploma on parchment into two sheets encased in a wooden box covered with imitation leather in blue and featuring a golden Olympic symbol. Text: "CONFIANT EN L'AVENIR DE L'OLYMPISME / RÉNOVÉ, LE COMITÉ OLYMPIQUE SUISSE / PRÉSENTE AU COMITÉ INTERNATIONAL / OLYMPIQUE SES VOEUX À L'OCCASION / DU CINQUANTIÈME ANNIVERSAIRE DE SA / FONDATION ET DU RÉTABLISSEMENT DES / JEUX OLYMPIQUES / AINSI QUE SE FÉLICITATIONS POUR / L'OEUVRE FÉCONDE ET HUMANITAIRE / RÉALISÉE DURANT CE DEMI-SIÈCLE / CITIUS ALTIUS FORTIUS / LAUSANNE, LE 17 JUIN 1944". Signed by the President and the Secretary General of the National NOC and the IOC member for Switzerland. Five strings in the Olympic colors hold a wax seal, encapsulated in wood with the emblem of the Swiss NOC. On the second page of parchment are the signatures of 26 (?) Members of the NOC.
