Commemorative medal of the 1949 Olympic day of the Austrian youth.

Physical description

Obverse: a nude draped athlete holding in his right hand an olive tree branch and in his left one a Nike statue. Name of the artist: "OSKAR THIEDE". Surrounded by the German caption: "OSTERREICHISCHES OLYMPISCHES COMITE". Olympic symbol in the lower part. On the reverse, the German caption: "OLYMPIATAG / DER / ÖSTERREICHISCHEN / JUGEND / 2.u.3.JULI 1949".
