Paris 2024 – swimming gear worn by Kristóf RASOVSZKY (HUN), Olympic champion in the marathon 10km swim.
Reigning 10km open water champion Sharon van Rouwendaal successfully defended her title in Paris. She spoke about how difficult the course was and compared the part where she had to swim against the current to a weight training session, as it required double the effort for each stroke.
The following day, Kristóf Rasovszky, who had been training in the Danube, where the currents are notoriously strong, felt well prepared. «Yesterday, when I saw Sharon van Rouwendaal winning, I thought this was a sign because she was second in Tokyo, the
same as me. I had to push really hard, but I knew I could do it.»
