Nagago 1998, sketch of the Olympic cauldron. Interactive sculpture artist Kiyoyuki Kikutake’s sketch of the 1998 Nagano Olympic Games cauldron drew its inspiration from the bonfire of the Dosojin festival held every year on the 15th of January in Nozawa. This was the first time the cauldron was colourful because the artist did not want it to appear cold. Donation of the artist to the IOC President who presented it to the Museum
