Montreal 1976 – silver model of Amik, the Games mascot, awarded to Swiss Timing, an official participant of the Games support programme. The Official Report describes the Games support programme in detail. One of several sources of revenue, the supporters’ programme was aimed at companies. Those that contributed a minimum of USD 15,000 were thanked with a silver Amik. This thank-you gift raises the matter of Games funding, which, for Montreal 1976, was a real problem. The city took an estimated 30 years to pay off its debts. Private purchase
