Gloves worn by Yuzuru HANYU (JPN), Olympic champion
Yuzuru HANYU was Olympic figure skating champion once more, four years after his title in Sochi. Aged 23, he thus became the first skater to achieve this feat since America's Dick BUTTON in... 1952.
A few months beforehand, at a competition in Canada, as he stepped onto the ice and put his gloves on, he realised that he had taken two right-hand gloves ! This clearly failed to put him off, however, as he went on to win the silver medal.
