Notes

PyeongChang 2018 – poster featuring the sports pictograms. The sports pictograms were officially presented in January 2017. They were based on four consonants and three vowels in the Korean alphabet, or “Hangul”. As well as providing a nod to Korean culture, the slanted and curved lines of the characters were used to create dynamic images that captured the movements of the athletes and sought to embody the Olympic spirit.
