The Official Report of the Olympic Winter Games St Moritz 1928 states that “the commune agreed to handle the accommodation and upkeep of the officials and athletes, with prices ranging from 10 to 18 francs, depending on the category of hotel selected. A specially designated office, managed with great skill and commitment by Mr C. Jilly of St Moritz, the Chair of the Administrative and Accommodation Commission […] was given the delicate task of assigning the officials and competitors to the various hotels.
