Notes

PyeongChang 2018 – mini sculpture and mascot given to the medallists, and the tray on which they were presented. Each winner did not receive a bouquet of flowers, but a small mascot carrying an uhsahwa, a paper flower given to people who passed national exams during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). The statuette represented the letters of the Korean alphabet, meaning “Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018”. The simple design of the tray is reminiscent of the podium and its shape inspired by traditional Korean roofs. OCOG donation
