PyeongChang 2018 – ski jumping boots worn by Sara TAKANASHI (JPN), bronze medallist in the normal hill event. The first gold medallist in women’s ski jumping, in 2012 at the 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Sara Takanashi was unable to repeat this success in Sochi in 2014, where she finished fourth. In 2018 in PyeongChang, she set out to achieve her dream and won a bronze medal. These shoes are the first piece of women’s ski jumping equipment to be added to The Olympic Museum Collections.
