Tokyo 2020 – table flag with the Games emblem. The emblem of the Tokyo 2020 Games was selected following a competition that was open to the general public. Some 14,599 entries were submitted. Ultimately, the “Harmonised Chequered Emblem”, designed by Asao Tokoro, was chosen by the public and the Selection Committee due to its Japanese identity and embodiment of the Tokyo 2020 vision of “Unity in Diversity”.
