The Women and Sport Trophy Created in 2000, the Women and Sport Awards see six trophies awarded each year to people or bodies that have actively promoted gender equality and the presence of women in sport in their respective countries: one for each of the five continents and a world trophy. To enable the winners to continue their work, the IOC sometimes also awards them a grant.
