Vancouver 2010, trousers like those worn by the silver medal-winning Norwegian
curling team.
Norwegian curlers like to get noticed for the clothes they wear. In 2010, at the Games in Vancouver, where they won silver, they created a sensation with their red, white
and blue trousers, the colours of their national flag, in a sport in which the athletes traditionally wear black trousers. Just a few days after their outfits were revealed to the
public, an unofficial Facebook page devoted to the team’s trousers had received more than 500,000 likes, which represents around one-tenth of the Norwegian population.
