Lausanne 2020, spirit costume worn during the Opening Ceremony. The original idea suggested by the ceremony designers was for a “cone” costume, into which the acrobats could almost disappear and create group effects. After several tests, it was clear that a rigid structure was not suitable. Dorothea Nicolai then sought inspiration in sports clothing and Bauhaus design to come up with an alternative.
