Triangular-shaped torch made up of an inner and an outer aluminium alloy skin, held in place by a cast top piece and base, perforated by 8,000 circles. Empty gas cartridge.

London 2012, Paralympic torch. The London 2012 Paralympic torch is like the Olympic torch, but coloured silver rather than gold. The Relay took place from 22 to 29 August 2012, just before the Paralympic Games. It began with four flames lit on the highest peaks in the four countries that make up the United Kingdom, and these were then carried to the respective capitals. The four flames were then united at a ceremony held at Stoke Mandeville. Purchased at auction
