Leonid Zhabotinsky was a Ukrainian weightlifter who competed for the Soviet Union.
He was a double Olympic champion in the +90kg category. At Tokyo 1964, his victory saw him break the Olympic record and, over the course of his career, he set 19 world records. The content of his notebook reveals his interest in sport in general, as he had been noting down the results in the athletics, water polo, weightlifting, wrestling, judo, boxing, volleyball, basketball, football, hockey and modern pentathlon competitions.
