Tokyo 2020, riding helmet worn by Andrew HOY (AUS), silver and bronze medallist. Andrew Hoy worked closely with the firm that makes his helmets to give them a personal touch. All the helmets were sent to him from Italy well before the time he was due to leave for Tokyo. But three days beforehand, his wife called the manufacturer to explain that, because of a misunderstanding, the flag design was too small. In three days, the firm had to airbrush the design by hand, let the colours dry completely before applying a transparent top coat and then assemble and send the helmet. It arrived just a few hours before Hoy left for Tokyo! Donated by the athlete
