Garmisch-Partenkirchen 1936, winner's medal, gold, awarded to the British ice hockey team's goaltender Jimmy FOSTER.

Physical description

Obverse: in the upper half, antique chariot pulled by three horses rolling on a arch consisting of four rays. On the chariot stands a female figure, symbolizing Victory, who holds a laurel wreath in her right hand. Initials of the artist "R K" to the right of the chariot. In the lower part, in front of a rectangle, there are four winter sports equipment (a four-man bob, a ski, a hockey stick and an ice skate). Caption: "GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN", in the lower part. Reverse: Olympic symbol in the center. Caption: "IV OLYMPISCHE ; WINTERSPIELE 1936", around the medal. Edge: "SILBER 990" hallmark at the base.
