Los Angeles 1932, silver box owned by Olympic equestrian champion Takeichi NISHI (JPN). Takeichi Nishi is the only Japanese athlete to have won a gold medal in equestrianism. During the Second World War, he was in charge of the supply of military horses until the army switched to tanks. In 1944, he was sent to help defend Iwo Jima and died there, although the exact circumstances of his death remain unclear. Purchased at auction
