Notes

Tokyo 2020, uniform worn by the medal-bearers. Based on the concept of modern ceremonial dress, the costumes, designed by Yamaguchi Sota, incorporated traditional kimono production techniques, such as kasane (layering), ori (weaving), musubi (knots) and so-me (dyeing), as well as modern design elements, such as cooling technology to combat the heat. Environmentally friendly recycled fibres were used to make them. The medal trays were produced using recyclable thermoplastic polymer. Donated by the OCOG
