Beijing 2022, uniform worn by Gonçalves GOUTT (TLS) at the Opening Ceremony. The uniform worn by skier and flagbearer Yohan Gonçalves Goutt, from the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, features several traditional items. The headdress, a “kaibauk”, is worn by men and women as a crown. The “belak” is a round pendant made of bronze or silver that symbolises the moon, and was worn in the past as a sign of victory. The designs of the ceremonial fabrics, called “tais”, represent stories, documents and beliefs. In 2021, they were added to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Donated by the athlete
