Athens 1896, reproduction of the black-figure skyphos awarded to Spyridon LOUIS (GRE) following his victory in the marathon event.

Physical description

Reproduction of a Boeotian skyphos (6th century BC). Side A: two naked athletes running, surrounded by two judges. Side B: identical motif. Palmette in the area of the handles. Disc foot. Name of the artist under the foot with a Greek state stamp. Greek customs lead on a handle.
