Seoul 1988, artistic swimming costume worn by Miyako TANAKA (JPN), bronze medallist in the duet. The swimming costumes worn by Miyako Tanaka and her partner Mikako Kotani were designed and manufactured by Asics. The colours and design were chosen specifically with the pool in which the competition would take place in mind. The two Japanese swimmers performed to an original piece of music composed by a student, the title of which – “Hisyo” – means “fly”. Donated by the athlete on a visit to the Museum
