Beijing 2022, costumes worn and dove held by children during the Opening Ceremony. The people in charge of the ceremonies had decided that they should be simple. As such, the performers were not professionals, but rather children, university students and ordinary people from Beijing and the surrounding area. The costumes for the children holding doves were inspired by the paper-cutting tradition of Hebei province, and featured the Chinese characters for “Peace” and “Happiness”. Donated by the OCOG
