Beijing 2022, costume worn by an ice hockey player in the “Ice Olympic Rings” section of the Opening Ceremony. In the “Ice Olympic Rings” section of the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Games, six ice hockey players interacted with the images of a virtual puck. The repeated striking of the puck against the giant ice block in the centre of the stage finally broke the block to reveal the Olympic rings. This way of “breaking the ice” illustrated the wish to break down barriers and contradictions, in order to reach mutual understanding. Donated by the OCOG
