Beijing 2022, Shuey Rhon Rhon, the Paralympic Winter Games mascot. Shuey Rhon Rhon is a lantern child – the lantern being a symbol of harvest, celebration, prosperity and brightness. Red – an auspicious and festive colour in China – reminds us that the Games coincided with the celebration of Chinese New Year. The three elements of its name evoke snow, tolerance and warmth. The name expresses the hope that there would be more inclusion for people with impairments, and more dialogue and understanding between the cultures of the world. Donated by the OCOG
