Montreal 1976, official uniform of the welcome hostesses. The donor told us: “Even now, as I approach 70 years of age, I look back on the summer of 1976, when I worked as a hostess at the Montreal Olympic Games, with fondness and nostalgia. It was an honour and a privilege to be a hostess, and I wore my uniform with pride. I loved the style, feel and colour of it. I remember in particular the last day of the Games, when all the hostesses surrounded the Stadium in a magnificent sea of red. I was overcome with emotion and burst into tears when the Olympic flame was extinguished.” Donation
