Artefacts
Eight visibly naked figures, but carrying a shield, are present on the relief, one behind the other. To the right of this relief is another figure in a Roman toga. On the top of the object, there is writing in Greek, which is not very legible. The back of the piece is hollow and already has the wire to attach it to a wall. The object was brought in a blue box surrounded by a ribbon of the same colour: - one explaining the relief - the other looks like a business card "Ministerum für Kultur und Wissenschaften Kasse für Archäologische Mittel" - the last is a certification of authenticity : "This is to certify that this reproduction is an authentic cast of the Acropolis Museum exhibit inv. no. 1338 and it created with the responsibility of the Greek State." - the last is the business card of the Greek President, Katerina Sakellaropoulou. We are not certain, but it is possible that the plaster was given to Mr Bach by the President during a meeting in Athens.
