Paris 2024 – art posters for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, “The Blue Line: Breaking” and “The Blue Line: Wheelchair Racing” by Gilles Elie. Painter and visual artist Gilles Elie plays with lines and geometric shapes in his creations. Reflecting on his work, he said: “In my work, I always start out with a rectangle. This shape becomes my field of play. I immediately thought of basing my posters around a simple idea: that fields of play, stadiums and sports arenas are exactly the same for competitions between athletes with disabilities and those without.” The artist also donated his original sketches.
