In a highly competitive final held at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre on 30 July 2021, Zhu Xueying executed a series of impressive twists, bounces and somersaults to finish top of the leaderboard with 56.635 points. Her teammate, Liu Lingling, won silver with a score of 56.350. It is the first time one country has won gold and silver in the women's trampoline gymnastics at an Olympics. The bronze went to Great Britain’s Bryony Page, silver medallist in Rio 2016, who got 55.735. The two Chinese gymnasts wore uniforms featuring the mythological Fènghuáng bird and clouds evoking the sky, harmony and good fortune.
