Milano Cortina 2026 – torchbearer uniform. The Olympic Torch Relay began on 26 November 2025 in Olympia. Some 10,001 torchbearers took part in the Relay, which made 60 stops across all 110 Italian provinces on its 12,000km journey to the San Siro Stadium, where the Olympic cauldron was lit during the Opening Ceremony on 6 February 2026. The 11-day Paralympic Torch Relay began on 24 February and ended at the Opening Ceremony on 6 March. Some 501 torchbearers were part of the Relay, which covered 2,000km across northern Italy.
