Symbolic first stone laid for the Olympic Village in Budapest.

Plastic cube with the Olympic symbol and the inscription: ‘1st BRICK: / STUDENT CITY -OLYMPIC VILLAGE / BUDAPEST’ on one side and the emblem of the Hungarian NOC with the coat of arms of the city of Budapest on the other. Signatures of 14 Olympic swimming champions (1952–2024): Valéria Gyenge, Sándor Wladár, Krisztina Egerszegi, Tamás Darnyi, József Szabó, Norbert Rózsa, Attila Czene, Ágnes Kovács, Dániel Gyurta, Éva Risztov, Katinka Hosszú, Kristóf Milák, Hubert Kós and Kristóf Rasovszky.

Symbolic first brick of the planned Olympic Village in Budapest. A “Student City” is set to open in the area where the Olympic Village would have been based as part of Budapest’s bid to host the 2024 Games. This symbolic brick bears the signatures of 14 Hungarian Olympic swimming champions (1952-2024): Valéria Gyenge, Sándor Wladár, Krisztina Egerszegi, Tamás Darnyi, József Szabó, Norbert Rózsa, Attila Czene, Ágnes Kovács, Dániel Gyurta, Éva Risztov, Katinka Hosszú, Kristóf Milák, Hubert Kós and Kristóf Rasovszky.
