Milano Cortina 2026 : men’s and women’s Carnival costumes worn at the Opening Ceremony. These costumes offer a contemporary interpretation of the theatrical tradition of Veneto, the region in which Cortina is situated. The men’s costume draws on a popular Baroque tradition from the theatre of the commedia dell’arte in the 17th century, whilst the women’s costume is more in keeping with a Rococo aesthetic associated with the aristocratic and bourgeois world of the 18th century. Donated by the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026
