Milano Cortina 2026: the kit of Marianne FATTON (SUI), Olympic sprint champion and silver medallist in the mixed team event.
Marianne Fatton won the very first Olympic gold medal in ski mountaineering – in the women’s sprint at Milano Cortina 2026 – beating her rival and the favourite, Emily Harrop. She gained an edge thanks to her transitions, which she had practised
extensively in training.
Both her helmet and her poles were chosen because of their practical advantages. The helmet was compatible with accessories (headlamp, goggles and sunglasses) to adapt to climbing conditions and the weather, whilst the ultra-light poles could be adjusted according to the type of snow. The skis, meanwhile, are designed for both ascents and descents.
